Week 2 - Grace Post - “Magnum opus”

Magnum opus:

(Noun) A large and important work of art, music, or literature, especially one regarded as the most important work of an artist or writer.

“Not everyone can have Nick Knight direct his magnum opus, as Maison Margiela did, or send a giant beautiful keepsake box packed with goods evoking the collection’s atmosphere, like Jonathan Anderson did for Loewe.” (found in an article about fashion week)

I choose this word because I thought it sounded strange and fancy. Magnum opus is a Latin word meaning “great work”. I thought it was interesting how the writer used a Latin word to put emphasis on the importance of the work of art.
