Many farmers believed the adage that “water follows the plow”.- History Worksheet
I chose this word because I did not know what this meant at all, without knowing the meaning of the word the sentence does not make sense and I would not have gotten the information that I needed. At first, I thought it meant more like the addition of something which would not have made sense in the sentence, I then decided to look up the definition and realized that it had nothing to do with what I thought and that it means a proverb.
